ASP.Net/C# Developer - Atlanta, GA
Job Description
Software development position with exciting, successful Atlanta-based PMG.Net, Inc., the leading independent software provider of Service Catalog software. With customers world-wide, clients range from medium size businesses to the Global 500. Work with PMG product development team, PMG implementers, and PMG customers to code, test, document, debug, and support leading edge product features and support product implementation.
Required Skills
- .Net Framework (C#)/Classic-ASP (see next bullet) developer skills to develop for Web-based enterprise class business product which includes a rich interactive web interface and a powerful workflow engine. The software product is built within the Microsoft technology stack, and includes end-device support for all major browsers and mobile (in development)
- Similar programming language backgrounds are an option if willing to jump into these languages quickly, but object oriented languages are preferred
- Strong skills in JavaScript, browser DOM, XML, web services, SQL and database design (MS SQL preferred), stored procedures
- Ability to work with our agile software development process, working with high level requirements, filling in gaps as needed to achieve usable and complete application functionality
- Ability to document one’s own code and provide actual end user documentation (at least the content) for the functionality provided
- Ability to test one’s own code sufficiently to hand over to product implementation team members or customers
- Ability to work with provided standards for development and suggest options as warranted
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging and problem solving skills
- High level of comfort working with other team members and engaging in verbal and written communications with customers
- Strong communication skills
- Work in office environment
- Degree in computer science or engineering
Additional Skills a Plus
- Familiar with networking technologies (TCP/IP, network traffic analysis, HTTP protocol), server management
- Familiar with Active Directory or LDAP concepts or development for either
- Familiar with Visual Studio, SourceSafe (or other versioning system)
- Application usability concepts
- Amenable to limited travel to meet with customers as part of a project team or individually
