Job Description
PMG is a leading provider of Workforce Automation and IT Governance solutions in the Southeastern United States. PMG is hiring an ASP/SQL software developer with a strong proven background in Microsoft technologies. PMG requires a person who can “hit the ground running” to build Web based applications and reports for a complex SQL database. Preferably candidates will have experience in VB.NET, ASP.NET as well.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to deliver
- Strong ASP and SQL programming skills using SQLServer 2000 (2005 is also desired)
- Ability to program SQL and ASP for custom reports for a complex database
- Advanced SQL skills including joins, views, stored procedure development and UDF development with ability to optimize performance of SQL calls
- Web application development experience including session management, database programming, HTML, style sheets, JavaScript, XML and AJAX
- Microsoft IIS basic management skills
- SQL Enterprise Manager skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness and desire to learn new technologies
- Strong communications skills
- Ability to document developed solutions
- Team-oriented player
- US Citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Additional knowledge of .Net technologies (VB.Net, C#, etc)
- Understanding of XML/XSLT
- COM/DCOM development
- SQL 2005 experience
- Integration experience (flat file, API, XML, etc)
Responsibilities include
- Designing and developing new business applications, primarily new interfaces and reports for an existing Web based application
- Maintaining current applications
- Business requirement gathering
